CVPC is government certified and licensed to provide Structural Pest Management (SPM) services, which refers to the control of pests in, on, or near structures which may pose a threat to health or property. Most commonly this is insects and rodents inside buildings or around a building’s exterior.
Treatment is offered for rats, mice, squirrels, stinging insects, ants, cockroaches, silverfish, earwigs, spiders, flies, fleas, pantry and stored product pests such as moths and beetles, and many other insects.
Some pests such a birds, bats and racoons are typically considered wildlife and are often dealt with by pest control operators which employ licensed trappers or other staff with specialty licenses or certificates. CVPC does not directly offer services for removal of any of these pests, but does offer inspections to confirm activity and provide recommendations for remediation or referral to a licensed technician.

How Does Pest Control Work?
Pest control consists of installing, monitoring, and servicing physical devices for the purpose of evaluating and/or controlling pest populations. If necessary the controlled application of commercially restricted pesticides may be part of any treatment programs. Options for treatments and any necessary precautions will be communicated in advance.
The first step in the process is an inspection to confirm pest activity and to make a proper identification. Once inspection is complete you will be advised of treatment options and the recommended course of action, with pricing provided, for your approval.
In most cases inspection and treatment can begin immediately during the first visit, however, with some interior insect treatments it will be necessary for customers to properly prepare their home or business for pesticide application and a subsequent application appointment will be booked separately.

In most cases customers will need to do as much work, or more, to alleviate conditions favorable for pest infestations, such as repairs, remediation, or removing vegetation. Most companies offer some level of minor, basic repairs or temporary exclusion methods, yet most are limited by policies and liability concerns, and leave the bulk of the work for the customer to address on their own.
For many customers, especially those new to the valley, sourcing reliable trades to provide honest quotes and complete work in a timely manner is a challenge worse than dealing with a lingering pest issue.
